This article was published in 2019 and shares artists’ aspirations for the year 2020.
As an artist’s mentor and career coach, one of my goals is to provide the most supportive environment, professional ideas and inspiration, and art career tools and strategies to help you achieve your art career goals. I also enjoy providing a forum where artists can share, motivate and encourage each other. In fact, you’ll find a series on the blog titled “Advice to Artists From Artists”. So, in September, 2019, I asked artists “What is your biggest art career goal and aspiration for 2020?” The replies led to this wonderful article “Artists Share their Goals and Aspirations”. Each artist was asked to a response in 75 words or less.
Artists Inspiring Artists
Artists are featured in alphabetical order. I’m sure you’ll find the artists’ aspirations as unique, diverse and inspiring as I do. I encourage you to visit their websites to learn more about them and their artwork. And, follow me on Facebook so you can participate in future articles.
Elliot Appel
“My creative goals for the coming year are to continue to expand on the variety of subjects that are available as primarily a painter of cityscapes. I’ll try to further expand on the definition of what a ‘cityscape’ artist is. It’s a lot more than just someone who paints buildings.” Visit Elliot Appel’s website.
Lisa Freidus
“I am pushing my limits through the creation of a coffee table art book. Photographs of acrylics in the style of trompe l’oeil, whimsical 3 D mixed media and monotypes and Impressionistic watercolors will grace the pages depicting seascapes, landscapes and architectural renderings. Personal anecdotes will bridge the paintings with heartfelt stories, humorous episodes and inspirational moments. I am enjoying this exploration into my past and plan on bringing this project to fruition in 2020!” Visit Lisa Freidus’ website.
Roopa Dudley
“My biggest all time goal is to create more NOTEWORTHY art that museums will like to proudly exhibit and may even consider purchasing to add to their permanent collection. So I am slowly building my case creating the portraits of those (living and deceased) who inspire me to reach my highest potential by recognizing their greatness and letting the world see them through my eyes as a Chess Painter.” Visit Roopa Dudley’s website.
Yvonne Welman
“My goal is meeting inspired artists whose work I don’t understand but want to, because I recognize their passion. My goal is also to be reasonable content with my own work and enjoying my growth as a artist.” Visit Yvonne Welman’s website.
