Dick and Rosanne Are Esteemed Botanical Photographers

By Renee Phillips 2 Comments

Dick and Rosanne are esteemed fine art digital photographers in the botanical realm. Their captivating works of art arouse feelings of being transported into nature’s mesmerizing macrocosm. As viewers we enter a resplendent state of relaxed, contemplative meditation.

As a curator I had the honor of selecting their artwork in a few juried exhibitions such as “The Healing Power of Art: Love, Peace, Unity & Hope” 2023, “The Healing Power of ART Inspired by NATURE” 2023, “The Healing Power of ART: Resilience 2022”, and both “The Healing Power of Color” in 2022 and in 2023. They are also featured in “Celebrate Your Love of Nature with Inspirational Art and Quotes”, a presentation on this website.

The artists’ inimitable collaborative process begins in their own garden where they photograph a variety of wild and cultivated species of flowers and plants. They combine their technical prowess in digital applications with their masterful skills in design and color to unleash their passion for their subjects and aesthetic versatility.

Dick and Rosanne imbue their breathtaking images with circular designs. These mandala-like symbols represent the cosmos in various heavenly worlds and evoke a sense of peace, balance, and harmony in the universe. A healing energy emanates from the juxtaposition of repeated forms and patterns in each individual piece and throughout their diverse portfolio.

The artists also apply their knowledge of sacred geometry as it exists throughout the natural world and as a healing modality. For example, their square-shaped images evoke a stable, grounding presence, which is a characteristic of sacred geometry.

Dick and Rosanne use Art Nouveau and Art Deco inspired designs and patterns in their borders to complement the central motif and eliminate the need for further matting or framing. Due to the perfect symmetry of their designs, many of their pieces can be hung either vertically or horizontally — a feature that offers more options for art buyers. In addition, buyers may choose to have the images printed on metal or fine art canvas.

The artists also maintain high quality professional standards. Each size print is a limited edition of 25. Every print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

The inspirational artworks that Dick and Rosanne create remind us of the enormous, invigorating plant world and complex multi-faceted ecosystem. Their artistic contributions are vital to our human experience as conscious individuals as well as life in our collective community.
