An important component to achieving the most success in your art career is your ability to grow mutually beneficial relationships. You will achieve a bigger and brighter future when you join forces with others. This article “The Powerful Art of Collaboration for Mutual Satisfaction” will help you increase your aspirations and goals as an artist. I know this from experience as an art marketing expert and career coach. Over the years I have helped thousands of people develop rewarding relationships and achieve their creative, career and financial goals.
What is The Art of Collaboration?
The art of collaboration is about uniting several yet equal partners who share a common vision and mission to contribute their strengths and create something grander than one person can do alone. It’s like fitting all of the pieces of a puzzle together to make something larger than the sum of its parts.
The Art of Collaboration is Easier than Ever
In our fast-paced and challenging society there is a growing trend among small and large businesses creating ways to work closely with others. Many people have replaced their attitude about seeing others as competitors and discover the many rewards found in teamwork. Social media offers us an immediate conduit to generate a plentiful supply of potential allies with many different skills and services to make collaboration easier than ever.
What Are Some Examples of the Art of Collaboration?
Collaborations can focus on creative, career or financial objectives — or integrate all three. For example, this week I advised an artist whose vision is to create a multi-media art event and is seeking artists in other art disciplines to work with. I had another consultation with a creative person who is expanding his career to launch an art organization and wanted my help in producing his advisory board. And, a corporate art consultant/interior designer began sessions with me to help her expand her sales to the healthcare art market. She called upon my advice to develop her inventory and find the right artists to fill the needs of her specific clientele. All of these clients require customized strategies; however, you can see that they all involve the art of collaboration.
Another example of how I collaborate is when I organize online art exhibitions. I often form a panel of art professionals who agree to give Special Recognition Art Awards which may include being the artist’s mentor or feature the artist on their blog. In exchange, they receive extensive promotion and publicity for their projects and art businesses. However, truth be told, they tell me they receive so much enjoyment from the process and feel it is an honor to participate. And, it’s an honor for me to have them on the panel. It’s a win/win situation.
