* Check your website periodically to make sure it is up to date and functioning properly. Check for correct html coding, page uploads, navigation links, etc.
* Examine your website using at least two different browsers. The most popular ones recommended by tech experts are Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
* Update your website from http to https (“safe”) protocol.
* Update your website’s copyright date to the current year — this year and every year.
* Test your “contact” form and “subscribe” form to make sure they are working properly. Ask a few friends to test them also.
* Correct grammatical errors in your biography, cv/resume, and artist’s statement.
* Make sure all of your images have titles, dimensions and mediums.
* Check all jpeg images to make sure they are photographed and cropped properly. Replace any poor quality images. Unprofessional images can have an immediate negative impression.
* Remove images of old artwork that doesn’t match the quality level or style of your current artwork. Resist the urge to keep old art on your site if it’s only for sentimental reasons.
